Each summer term, the University Election is held to elect the official Student Representatives that advocate your interests towards the university and your department.

The process of University Elections begins a long time before the actual election is held and the students notice that the election takes place. At some point before the elections, the University Politics Parties nominate their candidates for the election and hand in the lists to the TUM Elections Office.

It is of high importance that as many students as possible participate in the elections, even if there is only one nomination for your faculty. The higher the voter turnout, the more the representatives can use their influence on the department and the university.
Should you be indisposed on the actual election day, you can also use TUMonline to request postal vote and cast your vote in advance.

More information on what and whom you vote for, and also who won the election can be found on the AStA homepage
